NFPA Approved Live Virtual and In-Person Training
IDG University offers a flexible option to in-person training, with high-quality remote seminars hosting by NFPA Approved Trainers. Live Virtual training sessions are developed by NFPA Subject Matter Experts (SME's). Instructional Design Goup is a member of the NFPA Authorized Education Network as an Authorized Training Provider. Certificate of Completion and continuing education units (CEU’s) awarded upon completion. Attendees can purchase a copy of the NFPA code or standard with a 15% discount. Specialized Training

Various US states recognize two-year apprenticeship programs that are federally approved. Instructional Design Group will work with your company to draft a course outline and support to submit documents. Instructional Design Group will also develop the curriculum for the course which include knowledge assessment exercises. Payment plans available.

Paul J. Inferrera, SET has an extensive background consisting of combined experience in the fire protection and fire detection and alarm industries. He was a member of the Ship’s Special Fire Fighting team while serving in the United States Navy aboard the USS Kittyhawk (CV-63). While working at Wal-Mart’s Regional Distribution Center, he served as Fire Brigade Chief, and continued in the fire alarm and suppression field by working as CCTV/security installation and service technician. And more recently as a Systems Design and Project Manager in the fire alarm and suppression industry, and also created Fire Alarm Systems Training at Cape Fear Community College. Curriculum includes regular semester classes and two-, and four-year federally recognized apprenticeship programs. Paul is currently the Design Manager at DrawFire, LLC and a Training Solutions Consultant with Instructional Design Group, LLC. Paul is also a NICET Ambassador, past Chair on the NICET Board of Governors; and qualifications include NICET Level IV, Fire Alarm Systems and NICET Level II, Special Hazard Suppression Systems.

Training modules consist of a Introduction, Learning Objectives, Definitions and five Topic Sections. There are two practice questions after each section to evaluate knowledge of the topic. Each module utilizes a 20-question Knowledge Assessment to determine competency of the module topics. Modules can be assembled to build your company's training curriculum.
